Autumn Moon (2 days before Full Moon)

This year, the full moon of the Mid-Autumn Festival, celebrated on the 15th day of the 8th lunar month, coincides with Typhoon Matmo, which is expected to obscure the sky in many parts of Vietnam, making it difficult to observe the Moon on the festival night. Anticipating this, I captured photos and videos of the Moon in the days leading up to the full moon, likely during its waxing gibbous phase, when it was nearly full and still visible in clear evening skies. From Vietnam, the Moon would have appeared bright in the eastern sky after sunset, offering a stunning view for my recordings. These moments preserve the spirit of the festival, even if the storm clouds hide the Moon on this year Mid-Autumn Festival.
